Globe Thistle - Echinops ritro

A garden escape sometimes called Veitchs Blue Globe Thistle. It is not identified as a wildflower in any wild flower book. It is a domestic plant highly favoured by those who dry flowers for ornamental use. This plant has spiney edged leaves and, as is quite evident, a bluish cast to the flower heads.
