Hairy Willow Herb - Epilobium hirsutum


This is a very pretty flower which is only found in very wet conditions, usually stream banks. This one was found by a swampy area next to the Bay of Quinte under some swamp willows.
Stems are hairy, thus the name.
Hairy Willow Herbs belong to the Evening Primrose family (Onagraceae).
