Virginia Waterleaf - Hydrophyllum virginianum

This plant resides in the rich soils of deep woods. It blooms in Toronto in early June (these pics taken on June 6th in Earl Bales Park just off the wooded path at the south end of the park) and the flower colour can be either white or pale violet. It is notable for its 5 to 7 lobed irregularly cut leaves and protruding stamens.
