White Lettuce - Rattlesnake Root - Prenanthes alba

Rattlesnake Roots are tall slender wildflowers with boldly cut triangular or deeply lobed leaves. Leaf shape is variable.
They are called Rattlesnake Roots because early folklore suggested that the plant could be rubbed on snakebites to aid in healing.
